The Music
Emesh Trio is a unique ethnic jazz ensemble that blends the sounds of Classical music, Jazz, Balkan (Bulgarian) music, African rhythms, and Jewish melodies into a rich and expressive musical experience. We originally met while playing together in a Bulgarian music band and soon discovered a shared desire to create something of our own – music that reflects our diverse influences and personal voices.
Our distinctive instrumental combination—French horn (lead), piano (harmony), and tabla (rhythm)—forms the foundation of our sound, allowing for both structure and spontaneity. Beyond our instruments, all three of us also sing, adding another layer of expression to our performances.
Our creative process is deeply collaborative: each of us brings in original compositions, and together, we shape them into something greater than the sum of their parts. Improvisation is always present, making each performance a fresh and unique experience.
Above all, we aim to move our audience, inviting them into a world of deep listening, emotion, and musical exploration
